Tsada Golf Clubhouse, Cyprus

This project is part of the new golf and residential estate outside Pafos, Cyprus. This 1,200 acre site is mountainous, with high hills and steep valleys.

The new golf clubhouse replaces the existing accommodation and will serve the club members as well as serve as the heart of the new Minthis Hills residential community.

The design responds to climate and site by utilising outdoor as well as indoor spaces, local materials such as dry stack stone and timber, and providing sun shading and natural ventilation to the interior. The building contains a 150 seat restaurant, bar, members lounge, function room, pro-shop, changing facilities, a gym, spike bar, as well as staff accommodation.

The structure comprises reinforced concrete floors, walls and columns and is founded on a raft. The roof structure is a steel frame supported on steel columns and follows the pitched profile. All steelwork is contained within the shallow roof zone.
